Virtua Racing

Virtua Racing is a Formula 1-themed racing arcade game, originally developed as a proof-of-concept for the Sega Model 1 arcade hardware, but its results were so encouraging it was fully developed into a standalone title. The game introduced the "V.R. View System," allowing players to choose from four different camera perspectives — a feature then adopted by most subsequent Sega arcade racing games. It is considered a milestone for laying the foundations for most modern racing games and popularizing 3D polygon graphics.
