God of War: Sons of Sparta is a 2D action platformer and a prequel to God of War, with a canon story set in Kratos' youth during his brutal training at the Spartan Agoge alongside his brother Deimos. After a fellow cadet goes missing, Kratos and Deimos vow to find him and embark on an adventure that will put their training and Spartan spirit to the test. The narrative centers on discipline, rivalry and loyalty, adding context to the fractured bond between the brothers that later shapes the Greek-era saga.
