DOOM
Its name was inspired by a cocky one-liner from Tom Cruise in Martin Scorsese's The Color of Money (1986) — and just like that line, the game delivered pure, unstoppable attitude. In DOOM, a lone space marine battles through hordes of demons unleashed within a Martian research facility. He must find increasingly powerful weapons and survive lethal environments. The game pioneered immersive 3D visuals and networked deathmatch multiplayer, forever changing the face of gaming.

Ah DOOM, I saw the demo when I was 13 years old in middle school. The hand with the gun was moving from left to right! Didn't know what I saw. Stunning!
