Bowser is the main antagonist of Nintendo's Super Mario franchise and the arch-nemesis of Mario. He is the king of the Koopa race and leader of the Koopa Troop. Bowser most commonly kidnaps Princess Peach so he can make her his queen. In the game, Bowser kidnapped Peach and turned all the Toads into stone while hoping to become king of the Mushroom Kingdom, sending out a huge troop to defeat Mario and Luigi.
